PDE6D Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PDE6D of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PDE6D antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PDE6D, also known as phosphodiesterase 6D cGMP-specific rod δ, plays a crucial role in the retina, where PDE6D is involved in the phototransduction pathway, essential for converting light signals into electrical signals in the visual system. PDE6D is a retina-specific oligomer composed of two catalytic chains (α and β), an inhibitory chain (γ), and the δ chain, which together facilitate the hydrolysis of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), thereby regulating photoreceptor cell signaling. PDE6D interacts with key proteins such as RPGR, ARL2, and ARL3, and PDE6D structure is characterized by a high degree of conservation across species, with only a few conservative substitutions noted among human, cow, mouse, and rat PDE6D.
