C23 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects C23 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). C23, also known as nucleolin, is a crucial eukaryotic nucleolar phosphoprotein that plays a significant role in ribosome synthesis and maturation, essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. Anti-C23 antibody (C-2) targets proteins primarily located in dense fibrillar regions of the nucleolus, where C23 interacts with pre-ribosomal RNA during synthesis, influencing RNA processing and ribosomal gene transcription.
