SEE ALSO...

Cyclin D1 Antibody (72-13G) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin D1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin through applications such as western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and kinase assays. Cyclin D1 (72-13G) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cyclin D1 plays a pivotal role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly during the transition from the G1 phase to S phase, which is crucial for cell proliferation and growth. Cyclin D1 functions by forming a complex with cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), specifically CDK4 and CDK6, to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein (Rb). Rb phosphorylation leads to the release of E2F transcription factors, which are essential for cell cycle progression and transcription of genes required for DNA synthesis. Dysregulation of cyclin D1 is associated with various cancers, as overexpression can lead to uncontrolled cell division, making cyclin D1 a significant focus in cancer research and therapeutic development.

Can I use this mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of mouse tissue?

Asked by: Anna99
While this antibody is recommended for IHC, best results of mouse monoclonal antibody staining on mouse tissue, come from directly conjugated antibodies. See cyclin D1 (A-12): sc-8396 for cyclin D1 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488 and Alexa Fluor® 647.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a good antibody for WBThis antibody generates a signal at the predicted position on the WB (1:500 dilution, 40ug HeLa extract). although the intensity is not very strong. For WB, I would recommend other products such as sc-8396 or sc-20044.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from this antibody can be used in WB.I use it in WB . SK-N-SH cell lysis used。 10% gel,electrophoresis: 30 mA,90 min。 transfer membrane :300 ma,45min。5% milk block,1::100 antibody overnight。1X TTBS wash 3 times ,second antibody 1:2000 ,1 h , temperature。then 1X TTBS wash 3 times。 15 min can appearance bands sometimes。but there is a specific band。
