ZNF281 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ZNF281 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZNF281, also known as GC-box-binding zinc finger protein 1, ZBP-99, or zinc finger DNA-binding protein 99, is a member of the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc finger protein family and is characterized by its four C2H2-type zinc fingers that facilitate its role in gene regulation. ZNF281 is predominantly expressed in the nucleus and is crucial for the transcriptional repression of various genes, including Gastrin and ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), by binding to specific DNA sequences in the enhancer regions of these genes. ZNF281 can become phosphorylated by Atm or ATR in response to DNA damage, thereby influencing activity and stability in cellular stress responses. Anti-ZNF281 antibody (G-9) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of gene regulation and cellular responses to DNA damage, making this reagent essential for advancing our understanding of these critical biological processes.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-137205 X be used instead of the standard form sc-137205?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
