ZNF226 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZNF226 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ZNF226 antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZNF226, or zinc finger protein 226, is a member of the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, characterized by nineteen C2H2-type zinc fingers and one KRAB domain, which localizes to the nucleus. These zinc fingers facilitate ZNF226′s ability to bind to specific DNA sequences, thereby playing a significant role in transcriptional regulation. This function is vital for cellular processes such as differentiation, development, and response to environmental signals, making ZNF226 an important player in gene expression modulation. ZNF226 interacts with KAP1, a corepressor that recruits histone-modifying proteins, further emphasizing ZNF226′s role in the regulation of transcriptional activity.
