    SEE ALSO...

ZFR Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZFR of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZFR (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZFR, also known as zinc finger RNA-binding protein or M-phase phosphoprotein homolog, is a crucial 1,074 amino acid RNA-binding protein that plays a significant role in regulating postimplantation and gastrulation stages of development. ZFR is predominantly expressed in human tissues such as the lung, liver, lymphocytes, heart, pancreas, kidney, and placenta, while murine ZFR is found in the testis, ovary, and brain. Notably, ZFR contains a DZF domain and is localized in the somatodendritic compartment of hippocampal neurons, where ZFR colocalizes with STAU2 in cytosolic RNA granules. ZFR interaction with specific proteins is vital for function; for instance, ZFR associates with chromosome foci during meiosis, highlighting its importance in gametogenesis. Furthermore, knockout studies in mouse embryos have demonstrated that ZFR absence leads to developmental defects in certain embryonic structures, an increase in programmed cell death, and a decrease in the mitotic index, underscoring ZFR′s essential role in early development.
