    SEE ALSO...

ZFAT Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZFAT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZFAT antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZFAT, also known as Zinc finger protein 406, is a 1243 amino acid protein characterized by nineteen C2H2-type zinc fingers, which play a crucial role in DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. ZFAT primarily resides in the nucleus, where ZFAT modulates gene expression, particularly genes associated with immune response. ZFAT′s nuclear localization enables interactions with various transcription factors and chromatin remodeling complexes, influencing cellular processes such as differentiation and immune regulation. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within ZFAT have been linked to increased susceptibility to autoimmune thyroid disease, highlighting ZFAT′s potential role in autoimmunity. ZFAT shows strong expression in kidney, testis, ovary, tonsil, placenta, spleen, and peripheral blood leukocytes, existing in three isoforms due to alternative splicing events, which may further diversify ZFAT′s functional roles in different cellular contexts.
