XTP3TPA Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects XTP3TPA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XTP3TPA Antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The XTP3-transactivated gene A protein (XTP3TPA), also known as RS21-C6, is a 170 amino acid protein that exists as a homotetramer and features an epilepsy-associated repeat (EAR) domain, which spans approximately 44 amino acids and is crucial for protein-protein interactions, particularly in ligand recognition. XTP3TPA is predominantly expressed in embryonic and highly proliferating cells, with significant levels found in the liver, kidney, ovary, and testis, and is especially abundant in cancer cells. One of the key functions of XTP3TPA is hydrolyzing abnormal nucleotide triphosphates (NTPs) within cancer cells; if these NTPs are not regulated, they can be mistakenly incorporated into nascent DNA or RNA, potentially leading to genomic instability. XTP3TPA′s ability to manage these abnormal NTPs underscores its importance in maintaining cellular integrity and highlights its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in cancer.
