SEE ALSO...

XAP2 Antibody (35-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects XAP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XAP2 Antibody (35-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XAP2, also known as hepatitis B virus X-associated protein, plays a crucial role in the stabilization and regulation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), a ligand-activated transcription factor essential for mediating cellular responses to environmental toxins. XAP2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where XAP2 associates with heat shock proteins, including HSP 90, to maintain AhR in an inactive state until ligand binding occurs. Upon activation by dioxins or similar xenobiotics, AhR translocates to the nucleus, forming a heterodimer with Arnt that initiates the transcription of genes involved in xenobiotic metabolism. The interaction between XAP2 and AhR is vital for proper functioning of this signaling pathway, as XAP2 not only stabilizes AhR but may also influence AhR degradation, thereby ensuring a balanced response to environmental stressors.

Are there any issues with using sc-59730: XAP2 (35-2) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-59730 conjugates.
