X11β Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects X11β in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). X11β, a neuronal transmembrane protein, plays a crucial role in modulating the processing of the β-Amyloid precursor protein (β-APP), which is a significant factor in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer′s disease. By binding to the YENPTY motif of β-APP via its phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, X11β reduces the secretion of cellular β-APP and slows down its processing pathways, thereby influencing amyloid plaque formation.
