Datasheets
  • X11β Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ X11β antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-220 mapping at the N-terminus of X11β of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of X11β of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for X11β Antibody (B-5) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with X11β Antibody (B-5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

X11β Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects X11 beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-X11 beta antibody (B-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. X11 beta protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of β-Amyloid precursor protein (β-APP), which is a significant component of amyloid plaques found in Alzheimer′s disease. By binding to β-APP through its phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, X11 beta protein modulates the processing and secretion of β-APP, thereby influencing the accumulation of amyloid-beta peptides that contribute to neurodegeneration. The interaction of X11 with β-APP helps to slow down the pathways that lead to the production of these toxic peptides, highlighting X11 beta′s potential as a therapeutic target in Alzheimer′s disease. X11 beta protein interacts with various splice variants, including X11α (Mint 1) and X11γ (Mint 3), which may further diversify X11 beta′s functional roles in neuronal signaling and cellular processes.

Can X11β (B-5): sc-377060 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. Yes, X11β (B-5): sc-377060 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
