SEE ALSO...

Wnt-3 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wnt-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Wnt-3 (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wnt-3 protein plays a crucial role in developmental processes, particularly in regulating cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis, by acting as a signaling molecule that binds to frizzled receptors. This interaction is vital for stabilizing cytoplasmic beta-catenin, which is essential for the Wnt-1/wingless signaling pathway, influencing oncogenesis and various cellular functions. Wnt-3 is specifically expressed in the Purkinje cell layer of the adult cerebellum and serves as a retrograde signal in motoneurons, controlling terminal branching of muscle afferents, which is critical for proper motor function. Human Wnt-3 exhibits 98% homology with mouse Wnt-3 and 84% with human Wnt-3a, indicating a high degree of evolutionary conservation, and human Wnt-3 gene is located in close proximity to Wnt-15 gene on chromosome 17q21, highlighting its significance in the Wnt signaling pathway.

Are there any issues with using sc-74537: Wnt-3 (D-9) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-74537 conjugates.
