SEE ALSO...

Wnt-2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wnt-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Wnt-2 antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wnt-2, a member of the highly conserved Wnt gene family, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. Specifically, Wnt-2 is involved in the development of the embryonic nervous system and has been implicated in various cancers, including breast cancer, where aberrant expression can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation. Wnt-2 is secreted and interacts with Frizzled receptors on the cell surface, initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling that influences gene expression and cellular behavior. Understanding Wnt-2 function is vital, as Wnt-2 not only contributes to normal developmental processes but also has significant implications in tumorigenesis, making Wnt-2 a critical target for therapeutic interventions in cancer treatment.
