SEE ALSO...

WDR1 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects WDR1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WDR1, also known as AIP1 or NORI-1, is a 606 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of 11 WD repeats, which are motifs that typically form a tertiary propeller structure and play crucial roles in cellular functions such as signal transduction, apoptosis, and transcriptional regulation. WDR1 is primarily localized to the cytoskeleton, where WDR1 is essential for the disassembly of actin filaments, a process vital for maintaining cellular shape and facilitating cell movement. WDR1 achieves this in conjunction with ADF/cofilin family proteins, highlighting WDR1′s importance in actin dynamics and cellular motility. WDR1′s ability to interact with other proteins and mediate the assembly of protein complexes further underscores WDR1′s role in regulating various cellular processes, making WDR1 a significant target for research in cell biology and related fields.

I am using WDR1 (B-8): sc-393130 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
