WDR1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects WDR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-WDR1 antibody (B-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WDR1, also known as WD repeat domain 1, consists of 606 amino acids and is characterized by the presence of 11 WD repeats, which are structural motifs that facilitate protein-protein interactions. These WD repeats form a distinctive tertiary propeller structure, allowing WDR1 to play a crucial role in the disassembly of actin filaments in collaboration with ADF/cofilin family proteins. This function is vital for maintaining cellular dynamics and regulating processes such as cell motility and morphology. WDR1 is localized to the cytoskeleton, where WDR1 participates in various cellular functions, including signal transduction and transcriptional regulation, making WDR1 an important player in the orchestration of cellular responses. WDR1′s ability to interact with other proteins and mediate the assembly of protein complexes underscores WDR1′s significance in cellular regulation and highlights WDR1′s potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in diseases where actin dynamics are disrupted.

I am using WDR1 (B-10): sc-393159 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good clean antibodyI received this antibody as a free sample and fortunately it worked on the first try. I used it at 1:500 as the sample given only had 50 ul. The recommended 1:100 would be 100 ul for 10 ml. Using their anti-Igkappa-HRP, it gave clean bands. See figure legend for details.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is a very good antibody! The quality is very good, but I was dissapointed to find out that I did not receive the quantity written on the vial. On the vial it is written 10micrograms in 50 microL, but I only received 20microL. I was not enough for all my samples. Another colleague of mine also received 30 microL instead od 50microL.
