SEE ALSO...

WDFY3 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects WDFY3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WDFY3 (B-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WDFY3 protein, also known as ALFY (autophagy-linked FYVE protein), plays a crucial role in autophagy, which is essential for cellular homeostasis and degradation of damaged organelles and proteins. By facilitating autophagosome formation, WDFY3 helps maintain cellular health, particularly under stress conditions such as nutrient deprivation. WDFY3 protein is composed of 3,526 amino acids and localizes to the cytoplasmic side of peripheral membranes, where WDFY3 colocalizes with autophagic structures in starved cells. WDFY3 is widely expressed in various tissues, including liver, brain, and kidney, and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms. WDFY3 structural features include one BEACH domain, one FYVE-type zinc finger, a pair of leucine-rich repeats, and five WD repeats, which participate in diverse cellular functions, including chromatin assembly, cell cycle control, and signal transduction. WDFY3′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in these pathways underscores WDFY3′s importance in regulating cellular processes and responding to stress, making anti-WDFY3 antibody (B-4) a valuable tool for researchers studying autophagy and related mechanisms.
