WAVE1 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects WAVE1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WAVE1, also known as SCAR (suppressor of cAR), plays a crucial role in actin polymerization and cytoskeletal dynamics, which are essential for various cellular processes including cell motility, shape changes, and signal transduction. WAVE1 is primarily expressed in the brain, where WAVE1 is involved in the regulation of membrane ruffling and the formation of actin filament clusters in response to GTP binding, thereby facilitating the activation of the Arp2/3 complex. The interaction of WAVE1 with the Arp2/3 complex is vital for promoting the nucleation of new actin filaments, which is critical for maintaining cellular architecture and enabling dynamic responses to environmental cues. Additionally, WAVE1 forms multiprotein complexes that link receptor kinases to the actin cytoskeleton, thereby playing a significant role in transducing signals that influence cell shape, function, and motility. anti-WAVE1 antibody (B-8) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of cytoskeletal organization and its implications in various physiological and pathological processes.
