SEE ALSO...

VRL-1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VRL-1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VRL-1 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VRL-1, also known as Vanilloid Receptor-Like 1 or Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 2, plays a crucial role in the sensory perception of extreme temperatures, being activated by heat exceeding 52 degrees Celsius. VRL-1 is predominantly expressed in both neuronal and non-neuronal cells, contributing to the body′s ability to detect and respond to potentially harmful thermal stimuli. VRL-1′s importance lies in its involvement in nociception, the sensory process that allows the body to perceive pain, particularly in response to noxious heat. Understanding VRL-1′s function is vital for developing therapeutic strategies for pain management and for studying conditions related to temperature sensitivity.
