VPS41 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VPS41 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VPS41 Antibody (D-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VPS41, or vacuolar protein sorting 41, is a crucial protein consisting of 854 amino acids that plays a significant role in protein trafficking to the vacuole, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. VPS41 contains one clathrin repeat and one RING-type zinc finger, contributing to transport vesicle formation and fusion from the Golgi apparatus. VPS41 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, short and long, allowing for functional diversity in cellular processes. VPS41 is located on human chromosome 7, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta and Williams-Beuren syndrome, highlighting VPS41′s importance in cellular health and potential implications in disease.

I am using VPS41 (D-12): sc-377118 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
