SEE ALSO...

VPS29 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects VPS29 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VPS29 Antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VPS29, also known as vacuolar protein sorting 29 homolog, DC7, or PEP11, is a crucial component of the retromer complex, which is essential for retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to trans-Golgi network. This 182 amino acid peripheral membrane protein is predominantly localized in cytoplasm and endosomal membranes, playing a vital role in trafficking of endocytic and biosynthetic proteins to vacuole. Proper functioning of VPS29 is critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proteins are correctly sorted and delivered to intended destinations. VPS29 interacts with other proteins within retromer complex, such as VPS26 and VPS35, which together facilitate recognition and sorting of cargo proteins, underscoring VPS29′s importance in cellular transport mechanisms. Multiple isoforms of VPS29 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to complexity and regulation of function across different tissues, including high expression levels in heart, lung, placenta, spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes, thymus, colon, skeletal muscle, kidney, and brain.

Are there any issues with using sc-398874: VPS29 (D-1) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-398874 conjugates.
