    SEE ALSO...

Vinexin Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Vinexin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Vinexin antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Vinexin, also known as SORBS3 or SCAM1, is a crucial cytoskeletal protein that exists in three isoforms: Vinexin α, β, and γ. These isoforms are essential for cell adhesion, cytoskeletal organization, and cell signaling, particularly in promoting actin stress fiber formation and activating c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathway in response to epidermal growth factor (EGF) stimulation. Vinexin′s structure features three SH3 domains and one sorbin homology (SoHo) domain, which facilitate interactions with other proteins; specifically, binding to vinculin through first two SH3 domains and to guanine nucleotide exchange factor SOS via third SH3 domain. Vinexin expression occurs in various tissues, including placenta, heart, liver, brain, pancreas, and skeletal muscle, with localization at focal adhesion sites, cell-cell junctions, and cell-extracellular matrix junctions, while β isoform specifically resides in the nucleus, highlighting diverse functional roles within cells.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398275 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
