SEE ALSO...

VEGF-C Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects VEGF-C protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-VEGF-C antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VEGF-C plays a crucial role in lymphangiogenesis, the formation of lymphatic vessels, which is essential for maintaining fluid homeostasis and immune responses in tissues. By promoting lymphatic endothelial cell growth, VEGF-C contributes to tissue repair and immune surveillance, while also being involved in cancer metastasis and lymphedema. VEGF-C binding and activation of Flt-4 and Flk-1 receptors highlights VEGF-C′s importance in both normal and disease states, making VEGF-C an important target for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis.

Does this antibody have any neutralisation or inhibitory potential in any cell-based assays?

Asked by: Steven91
Thank you for your question. No, this antibody has not been tested for any neutralization or inhibitory use, so we do not have that information. It is recommended for detection of VEGF-C via WB, IP, PAR and ELISA.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as good as expectedNo signal on WB at all at a dilution of 1 :250 on mouse lung lysates; incubated O/N at 4oC
Date published: 2021-02-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from works well for WB and IFShows a specific signal in WB (dilution 1:200 in BSA/TBS-T) at 40kDa for HEp-2, RKO and LoVo whole cell Lysates. When used in IF, the cells (HEp-2) were fixed in 2% formaldehyde and the dilution was adjusted to 1:50 - IF signal was cytoplasmic but still slightly diffuse

Rated 1 out of 5 by from unexpected protein sizeI tested sample with the lysates from mouse thymic epithelial cell lines and got non-specific band around 20kda. Conditions of WB ; 4-20% SDS-PAGE, Wet transfer (400mA/2hr), 1:200 primary antibody in 5% TBST.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great IF imageWe used this antibody for IF staining and got a very clean image showing great HeLa cells
Date published: 2017-01-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and very specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was extremely strong detection of the ~40/80 kDa target proteins in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested, except for three other very strongly cross-reactive proteins.
