    SEE ALSO...

ValRS Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ValRS protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ValRS (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ValRS, or valyl-tRNA synthetase, is a crucial enzyme in protein synthesis, responsible for accurately attaching valine to corresponding tRNA(Val). This specificity ensures correct protein synthesis, maintaining cellular function and integrity. ValRS belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family, which includes related enzymes like leucyl-tRNA synthetase and isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase. These enzymes are large monomeric proteins catalyzing tRNA aminoacylation, a critical step in translating genetic information into functional proteins. ValRS operates through two active sites: the synthetic active site, joining valine to tRNA(Val), and the CP1 editing active site, hydrolyzing incorrectly attached tRNA(Thr) to prevent synthesis errors. ValRS also interacts with elongation factor 1 (EF-1) to facilitate aminoacyl-tRNA transfer during translation, and ValRS activity may be modulated by phosphorylation through protein kinase C, highlighting ValRS importance in protein synthesis regulation.
