SEE ALSO...

V-ATPase H Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects V-ATPase H of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). V-ATPase H (C-8) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The vacuolar-type H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) is a multisubunit enzyme that drives acidification of eukaryotic intracellular organelles, essential for protein sorting, nutrient uptake, and cellular signaling. V-ATPase pumps protons against an electrochemical gradient, maintaining pH homeostasis within organelles. V-ATPase includes a peripheral V1 domain for ATP hydrolysis and an integral V0 domain for proton translocation, with V1 comprising nine subunits (A-H) and V0 consisting of five subunits (a, d, c, c′, and c"). V-ATPase H subunit, also known as SDF, contains two polypeptides from the same gene and couples ATP hydrolysis to proton transport, ensuring efficient V-ATPase pump function.

Can V-ATPase H (C-8): sc-166227 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, V-ATPase H (C-8): sc-166227 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
