SEE ALSO...

V-ATPase C1 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects V-ATPase C in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). V-ATPase C is an essential auxiliary subunit of the vacuolar-type H+-ATPase complex, which plays a critical role in the acidification of eukaryotic intracellular organelles, a process vital for numerous cellular functions such as protein sorting, nutrient storage, and cellular signaling. V-ATPase C contributes to the stability and activity of the enzyme, making this subunit crucial for proper assembly and function of the V-ATPase complex. V-ATPase C shows ubiquitous expression across various tissues, indicating a fundamental role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. The gene encoding human V-ATPase C is located on chromosome 8q22.3, and V-ATPase C interaction with other subunits, such as V-ATPase D, is essential for the overall functionality of the V-ATPase complex. Anti-V-ATPase C antibody (H-5) enables researchers to gain insights into the dynamics of proton transport and the physiological implications of V-ATPase activity in health and disease.

Can V-ATPase C1 (H-5): sc-166848 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, V-ATPase C1 (H-5): sc-166848 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
