V-ATPase C1 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects V-ATPase C1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-V-ATPase C1 antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The vacuolar-type H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) is a crucial multisubunit enzyme that plays a vital role in acidifying eukaryotic intracellular organelles, essential for processes such as protein sorting, nutrient uptake, and cellular signaling. V-ATPase pumps protons against an electrochemical gradient, a mechanism fundamental for maintaining pH homeostasis within cells. V-ATPase consists of a peripheral V1 domain responsible for ATP hydrolysis and an integral V0 domain that facilitates proton translocation, with V1 domain consisting of nine subunits (A-H) and V0 domain comprising five subunits (a, d, c, c′, and c"). V-ATPase C serves as an auxiliary subunit with widespread expression, and human V-ATPase C gene is located on chromosome 8q22.3. Understanding V-ATPase C1 structure and function is critical, as V-ATPase C1 contributes to enzyme activity and plays a role in regulating various physiological processes, making V-ATPase C1 a significant target for research in cellular biology and potential therapeutic interventions.
