V-ATPase B2 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects V-ATPase B2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-V-ATPase B2 antibody (D-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The vacuolar-type H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) is a crucial multisubunit enzyme that plays a vital role in the acidification of eukaryotic intracellular organelles, which is essential for processes such as protein degradation, nutrient absorption, and maintaining cellular homeostasis. The V-ATPase complex consists of a peripheral V1 domain responsible for ATP hydrolysis and an integral V0 domain that facilitates proton translocation, with the V1 domain comprising nine subunits (A-H) and the V0 domain consisting of five subunits (a, d, c, c′, and c"). Notably, V-ATPase B2 is predominantly expressed in the kidney and osteoclasts, where V-ATPase B2 is involved in bone resorption and maintaining the acidic environment necessary for the dissolution of bone minerals. The gene encoding V-ATPase B2 is located on chromosome 8p22-p21, and understanding V-ATPase B2 function and interactions is critical for elucidating V-ATPase B2′s role in renal physiology and osteoclast activity.
