UTX Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects UTX protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UTX antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UTX protein, or ubiquitously transcribed tetratricopeptide repeat, X chromosome, is a crucial 1,401 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression through its function as a histone demethylase. By demethylating lysine residues on Histone H3, UTX modulates the histone code, which is essential for proper regulation of Hox gene expression, influencing developmental processes and cellular differentiation.
