USP6/32 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects USP6/32 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). USP6/32 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The ubiquitin-specific protease (USP6) is a 1,406 amino acid protein characterized by hydrophilic nature and the presence of two charge clusters that indicate nucleic acid-binding regions. USP6 participates in critical cellular processes, including protein degradation regulation and signaling pathways, which maintain cellular homeostasis and prevent oncogenesis. USP6 gene is oncogenic and arose from the chimeric fusion of two genes: USP32, an ancient and highly conserved gene, and TBC1D3, which originated from a recent segmental duplication absent in most other mammals. This unique chimeric gene exists exclusively in the hominoid lineage of primates, suggesting a potential role in hominoid speciation and reproductive barrier emergence, particularly as USP6 is testis-specific. USP6′s interaction with various substrates and ability to modulate their stability emphasizes USP6′s importance in cellular regulation and cancer biology implications.
