USP5 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects USP5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). USP5 Antibody (C-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. USP5, also known as isopeptidase T, is a crucial 858 amino acid zinc-binding deubiquitinating enzyme that plays a significant role in the ubiquitin (Ub) pathway, which is essential for regulating numerous intracellular processes such as signal transduction, transcriptional activation, and cell cycle progression. One of the key aspects of USP5 is its ability to disassemble unanchored polyubiquitin chains, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the accumulation of misfolded proteins. USP5′s structure includes two ubiquitin-associated (UBA) domains and one UBP-type zinc finger, which are critical for enzymatic activity and substrate recognition. By cleaving ubiquitin from target proteins, USP5 not only regulates protein degradation but also influences various signaling pathways, making USP5 an important target for research in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
