USP21 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects USP21 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-USP21 antibody (B-9) is available as the non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. USP21, also known as ubiquitin specific peptidase 21, USP16, or USP23, is a critical component of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which regulates various cellular processes by controlling protein degradation and signaling pathways. USP21 removes ubiquitin from target proteins, thereby influencing their stability and function. This deubiquitinating enzyme maintains cellular homeostasis and plays a significant role in processes such as signal transduction and transcriptional regulation. USP21 can remove NEDD8 from NEDD8-conjugated proteins, which may impact NEDD8-mediated proteolysis, further highlighting USP21′s importance in cellular regulation. USP21 consists of 565 amino acids and belongs to the C19 peptidase family of ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolases, with multiple isoforms arising from alternative splicing events, allowing for diverse regulatory functions within the cell.
