UQCRC2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UQCRC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UQCRC2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ubiquinol cytochrome-c reductase complex core protein 2 (UQCRC2) plays a critical role in the assembly and stability of the cytochrome bc1 complex, which is essential for mitochondrial function and energy production. UQCRC2 is located within the inner mitochondrial membrane, where UQCRC2 contributes to the electron transport chain, facilitating the transfer of electrons from ubiquinol to cytochrome c. Proper functioning of UQCRC2 is vital for maintaining cellular respiration and energy metabolism, as dysfunction in this process can lead to a range of metabolic disorders and mitochondrial diseases. Using anti-UQCRC2 antibody (G-10) in research can provide valuable insights into mechanisms of mitochondrial function and implications of UQCRC2 in various physiological and pathological contexts.

Can UQCRC2 (G-10): sc-390378 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, UQCRC2 (G-10): sc-390378 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
