SEE ALSO...

ULBP3 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ULBP3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ULBP3 (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ULBP3, a member of the UL16 binding protein family, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a ligand for the activating receptor NKG2D/DAP10, which is essential for the activation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells. This interaction triggers the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as interferon-gamma, and promotes the lysis of tumor cells, thereby contributing to the immune system′s ability to detect and eliminate transformed or infected cells. The importance of ULBP3 lies not only in its role as a stress-induced ligand that enhances immune surveillance but also in its ability to activate various signaling pathways, including Janus kinase 2, STAT5, and mitogen-activated protein kinase, which are vital for the proliferation and activation of immune cells. Furthermore, the soluble form of UL16 can inhibit the interaction between ULBP3 and NKG2D, highlighting the regulatory mechanisms that modulate immune responses.
