UBL3 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects UBL3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UBL3 (C-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBL3, also known as ubiquitin-like protein 3 or membrane-anchored ubiquitin-fold protein (MUB), is a 117 amino acid membrane protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by interacting with other proteins to modulate their functions. UBL3 is highly conserved across species and features two potential N-glycosylation sites, a potential protein kinase C phosphorylation site, and a potential C-terminal prenylation site, which are important for stability and function. The presence of these post-translational modifications can influence UBL3′s interactions with specific target proteins, thereby affecting various signaling pathways and cellular responses. The gene encoding UBL3 is located on chromosome 13q12.3, highlighting its significance in genetic studies and potential implications in disease mechanisms.
