TSPAN1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TSPAN1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TSPAN1 antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TSPAN1, also known as tetraspanin 1, NET1, TM4C, or TM4SF, is a 241 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein primarily localized to the lysosomal membrane, which is crucial for its role in cellular processes. The lysosome is essential for the degradation and recycling of cellular components, and TSPAN1′s localization suggests involvement in regulating lysosomal function and trafficking. TSPAN1 is overexpressed in various human cancers, indicating potential role in tumor progression, particularly in colon cancer and gastric cancer cell migration and invasion. TSPAN1 may function as a breast cancer suppressor gene, highlighting importance in cancer biology. The gene encoding TSPAN1 is located on human chromosome 1p34.1, which spans approximately 260 million base pairs and contains around 3,000 genes, underscoring the complexity and significance of this genomic region in human health and disease.
