SEE ALSO...

tsg 101 Antibody (51) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects tsg 101 in mouse, rat, human, and canine samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-tsg 101 antibody (51) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying this critical protein. tsg 101 plays a significant role in tumor suppression, as tsg 101 encodes a stathmin binding domain protein that is essential for regulating cell growth and preventing malignant transformation. tsg 101 function is particularly important because loss of tsg 101 expression can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, a hallmark of cancer. In experimental models, such as NIH/3T3 cells, inhibition of tsg 101 expression through antisense mRNA results in a transformed phenotype, demonstrating tsg 101′s vital role in maintaining normal cellular functions and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer research. tsg 101 (51) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of tumorigenesis and explore new avenues for cancer treatment.

What blocking solution should I use with tsg 101 (51): sc-136111 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335) Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Negative result on TE4 cells proteinsI tested this TSG101 antibody on protein extracted from TE-4 cells by western blot. Antibody was diluted 1:200 as suggested in BSA 5% and incubated o/n at 4°C. However, it didn't work and no signal was shown.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works for western blotI used this antibody on total extracts and exosmose (MCF7 cells). It gives a good band at the expected size, using 1:1000 dilution in TBST-5%milk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quite good for IF!I did Immunofluorescence with this antibody: I could see a signal but quite poor at 1/100 dilution and with PFA fixation (so maybe a better signal with 1/50 or 1/20 dilutions) but no signal with MetOH fixation!!!
