Trx Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Trx protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Trx antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Thioredoxin (Trx) is a crucial redox protein found across various species, including bacteria, plants, and mammals, characterized by a conserved active site comprising the amino acid sequence Trp-Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys. Trx functions as a hydrogen donor for ribonucleotide reductase, an essential enzyme for DNA synthesis, playing a vital role in cellular proliferation and survival.
