Trx Antibody (2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects thioredoxin (Trx) in non-species restricted (NSR) applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Trx antibody (2) recognizes thioredoxin, a crucial redox protein that plays a significant role in cellular processes by maintaining the redox balance within cells. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, Trx is essential for protecting cells from oxidative stress, which can lead to cellular damage and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Trx′s ability to act as a hydrogen donor for ribonucleotide reductase is vital for DNA synthesis, highlighting its importance in cell proliferation and survival.
