TRPC6 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TRPC6 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TRPC6 antibody (E-7) recognizes TRPC6, a crucial component of the transient receptor potential cation channel family, specifically involved in mediating store-operated calcium entry. This process is vital for various cellular functions, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell proliferation, as TRPC6 helps maintain calcium homeostasis within cells. TRPC6 is predominantly located in the placenta, spleen, lung, small intestine, and ovary, where TRPC6 plays a significant role in calcium signaling pathways essential for normal physiological processes. Notably, TRPC6 is activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) and functions as a calcium-permeable cation channel, particularly important in α1-adrenoceptor signaling. The gene encoding TRPC6 is located on chromosome 11q21-q22, and understanding TRPC6 function and regulation is critical for elucidating TRPC6′s role in various diseases, including cardiovascular and neurological disorders.
