I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with TRPC1 (E-6): sc-133076?

Asked by: cjMara
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

What is the expected molecular weight of TRPC1?

Asked by: cjMara
TRPC1 has a predicted molecular weight of 91 kDa in human, however the observed molecular weight in Western blot is between 87-90 kDa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent monoclonal AB I receive a free sample of this AB. All the essays were perfect, with 1 single detection band (monoclonal).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antibody, will tell you good story! TRPC-1 (E6) is an excellent antibody for immunoblotting. The antibody gave two clean bands in HEK293 and HepG2 cells, equivalent to 90-95kDa which is perfect. The additional band in human carcinoma cells (see the attached blot) may be due to post-transnational modification or isoforms, depending on the type of post transnational modification it may give additional mass to the protein. The HEK293 is a embryonic kidney derived cell line and known to express neuronal proteins. The HepG2 cell line was derived from a human hepatocarcinoma. Excellent antibody, highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good specificity Used for IHC with human skeletal muscle tissue sample, staining data very strong

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In gernal , specific band I use this antibody got clear band at 88kda,this is the target band. Some very weak non-specific bands seen, however it not affect the result.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most efficient antibody tested I had tried several antibodies against TRPC1 that gave me lots of unspecific binding before trying that one. I used a 1:200 dilution for my western blot and I got a really neat blot !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This antibody works well All around great antibody. Reliable and well published. Can be used in many cell lines.
Date published: 2017-02-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great results TRPC1 antibody with great cross-reactivity will produce great results regardless of whether it is being used for blotting or staining.
