SEE ALSO...

Trk C Antibody (7H6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Trk C protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Trk C antibody (7H6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Trk C protein, a member of the tropomyosin receptor kinase family, plays a crucial role in the nervous system as a receptor for neurotrophin-3 (NT-3), which is essential for the survival and differentiation of neurons. Trk C is predominantly expressed in nervous tissue, and activation leads to phosphorylation of tyrosine residues, triggering downstream signaling pathways that promote neuronal growth and survival. Notably, Trk C undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in four isoforms, each with distinct structural features that may influence functional properties and interactions with NT-3. Understanding specific interactions and signaling mechanisms of Trk C is vital for elucidating its role in neurodevelopment and potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases.
