SEE ALSO...

TRβ1 Antibody (J51) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRβ1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHCP). TRβ1 Antibody (J51) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRβ1, a member of the thyroid hormone nuclear receptor family, plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of thyroid hormones on growth, differentiation, and metabolism. Located primarily in the nucleus, TRβ1 functions as a ligand-dependent transcription factor that regulates gene expression by binding to thyroid hormone response elements (TREs) in the DNA. This binding is essential for the proper transcriptional regulation of genes involved in metabolic processes and development. TRβ1 isoform is particularly important in pancreatic β cells, where TRβ1 interacts with the p85α subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase, facilitating the T3-induced activation of Akt, a key signaling pathway that influences insulin secretion and glucose homeostasis. TRβ1′s ability to heterodimerize with retinoid X receptors further enhances regulatory capacity, making TRβ1 a vital component in the intricate network of hormonal signaling and metabolic regulation.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-737 X be used instead of the standard form sc-737?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
