TRB-3 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRB-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRB-3 (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRB-3, also known as neuronal cell death-inducible protein kinase (NIPK), plays a critical role in disrupting insulin signaling by directly binding to Akt kinases, thereby inhibiting their activation. This function is particularly important as TRB-3 contributes to insulin resistance, a key factor in the development of type II diabetes. TRB-3 is highly expressed in the liver, pancreas, peripheral blood leukocytes, and bone marrow, with increased levels observed in the livers of diabetic mice compared to their wildtype counterparts. TRB-3 interacts with ATF4, inhibiting its transcriptional activation activity and regulating the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). The regulation of these pathways underscores TRB-3′s significance in metabolic processes and potential as a therapeutic target for diabetes-related conditions.
