TRB-3 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TRB-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRB-3 (B-2) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRB-3, also known as tribbles 3 or neuronal cell death-inducible protein kinase, plays a critical role in disrupting insulin signaling by directly binding to Akt kinases, thereby inhibiting their activation. This function contributes to insulin resistance, a key factor in the development of type II diabetes. Additionally, TRB-3 interacts with ATF4, suppressing transcriptional activation activity, and regulates MAP kinase activation. TRB-3 is predominantly expressed in the liver, pancreas, peripheral blood leukocytes, and bone marrow, with significantly higher levels observed in the livers of diabetic mice compared to wild-type counterparts. This elevated expression underscores TRB-3′s involvement in metabolic disorders, making TRB-3 a valuable target for research into diabetes and insulin resistance.
