SEE ALSO...

TNFα-IP 2 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TNFα-IP 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TNFα-IP 2 (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TNFα-IP 2, also known as B94 or TNFAIP2, is a member of the Sec6 family and plays a crucial role in mediating inflammation and angiogenesis, processes that are vital for tissue repair and regeneration. TNFα-IP 2 is differentially expressed during development and is particularly important in capillary tube-like formation in vitro, highlighting TNFα-IP 2′s significance in vascular biology. TNFAIP2 gene, which maps to chromosome 14q32, encodes a 654 amino acid protein that is induced by tumor necrosis factor alpha and other proinflammatory factors, making TNFα-IP 2 a key player in the inflammatory response. Originally identified as a gene induced in endothelial cells, TNFAIP2 has also been implicated in various cancers, including acute promyelocytic leukemia, where TNFα-IP 2 is upregulated by retinoic acid. With diverse applications and critical biological functions, anti-TNFα-IP 2 antibody (F-6) is an essential tool for researchers studying inflammation, angiogenesis, and related pathways.

Good afternoon, I would like to know the epitope recognised by the following antibody. I am doing knock out experiments and see by sequencing that my gene is knock-out but I still detect the protein by western blot which is a bit confusing. Thanks

Asked by: Thomas
Thank you for your question. TNFα-IP 2 Antibody (F-6): sc-28318 was raised against amino acids 1-654 representing full length TNFα-induced protein 2 of human origin. No epitope mapping has been performed for this antibody as of yet, so its exact binding site is currently not known.

Dear Mr, Mrs, I am interesting in an TnfaIP2 antibody for WB with mouse organ tissue. I already tried 2 antibody that didnt gave me good results (unspecific band). Can I have a try with yours, by a 10ug free sample ? This Ab in necessary for my PhD thesis

Can TNFα-IP 2 (F-6): sc-28318 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, TNFα-IP 2 (F-6): sc-28318 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from F-6 clone works very well in IF stainingI got this free sample and try it on my mouse skin staining, it works very well. I also tested it one flow cytometry. The outcome is also good, even though it is less ideal compared to IF staining.
Date published: 2017-08-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good to useDiluted 1:300 at first, It has a good band at 73 kDa.
Date published: 2017-07-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WB resultThe target band is very strong and intensely by antibody dilution 1:800,I suggest use Hela cell as a positive control first while test the sample which are not used by other researchers.
