SEE ALSO...

TM Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TM protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TM (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as CD141, is a type I membrane receptor predominantly found on endothelial cells, where TM plays a crucial role in coagulation regulation. TM features a cysteine-rich extracellular domain with six EGF-like regions, which are essential for TM′s interaction with thrombin. This interaction activates protein C, leading to activated protein C (APC) generation, an important anticoagulant enzyme that, with protein S, inhibits coagulation by inactivating factors Va and VIIIa. TM′s significance in maintaining hemostatic balance is underscored by TM gene deletion resulting in embryonic lethality in mice, highlighting TM′s essential role in vascular biology and coagulation homeostasis.
