SEE ALSO...

TM Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects thrombomodulin in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-thrombomodulin antibody (H-11) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. Thrombomodulin, also known as CD141, is a type I membrane receptor predominantly found on endothelial cells, where thrombomodulin plays a crucial role in coagulation regulation. Thrombomodulin features a cysteine-rich extracellular domain with six epidermal growth factor-like regions, which are essential for interaction with thrombin. This interaction activates protein C, leading to the generation of activated protein C (APC), an important anticoagulant enzyme that, in conjunction with protein S, inhibits coagulation by inactivating factors Va and VIIIa. Deletion of the thrombomodulin gene results in embryonic lethality in mice, highlighting thrombomodulin′s essential role in vascular biology and coagulation homeostasis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271804 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
