Datasheets
  • TIRAP Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-235 representing full length TIRAP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of TIRAP of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for TIRAP Antibody (C-7) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with TIRAP Antibody (C-7) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

TIRAP Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TIRAP in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIRAP, also known as MyD88 adapter-like protein, plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by acting as a signaling adapter that links Toll-like receptors (TLRs) to downstream signaling pathways, including the activation of NFκB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. TIRAP is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where TIRAP forms homodimers and heterodimers with MyD88, facilitating the recruitment of interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinases (IRAKs) to TLRs. Proper localization of TIRAP is essential for effective signal transduction, as TIRAP ensures that the immune response is activated promptly upon recognition of microbial products. Dysregulation of TIRAP function can lead to impaired immune responses, making TIRAP a critical component in the study of immune system disorders and potential therapeutic targets. Anti-TIRAP antibody (C-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the mechanisms of TLR signaling and its implications in various diseases.

What blocking solution should I use with TIRAP (C-7): sc-166150 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
