SEE ALSO...

TIG2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIG2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TIG2 antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIG2, a member of the Tazarotene-induced gene family, plays a crucial role as a secreted protein primarily expressed in the epidermis, hair follicles, and endothelial cells, where TIG2 functions as a tumor suppressor. TIG2 expression is notably inhibited in psoriatic lesions, highlighting TIG2′s importance in skin health and disease. TIG2 is activated by tazarotene, a synthetic retinoid, which underscores TIG2′s role in mediating the growth-suppressive effects of retinoids. TIG2′s ability to interact with retinoic acid receptors and retinoid X receptors further emphasizes TIG2′s significance in regulating cellular growth and differentiation, making TIG2 a vital target for research in cancer biology and dermatological conditions.
