TICAM-1 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TICAM-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TICAM-1 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Toll/interleukin-1 receptor/resistance (TIR) adaptor protein, also known as TICAM-1 or TRIF, plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the signaling pathways activated by Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) in response to double-stranded RNA, which is a common viral signature. This interaction is vital for the production of interferon-beta, a key cytokine in antiviral defense, through the activation of transcription factors such as NF-kappaB, AP-1, and IRF3. The proper functioning of TICAM-1 is essential for an effective immune response, and dysregulation can lead to impaired antiviral immunity or contribute to autoimmune diseases. Human TICAM-1 is located on chromosome 19p13.3, highlighting evolutionary conservation and importance across species.
